Our next edition of the Equity Challenge will take place November 3rd – 7th.
What young people are up against
Exploring the inequities and opportunities that impact their education, relationships, and future.
This 5-day challenge invites you to take a closer look at the often unseen barriers young people face in their daily lives, from fractured relationships and unsafe environments to limited access to education and financial opportunities. Each day invites you to reflect on the systems that shape their experiences, and to be inspired to take action to support them. By engaging with these realities, we can begin to build a more equitable future — one where every young person has the chance to thrive.
Join us for the kick off webinar on Wednesday, October 29th 4:00pm-5:15pm - a youth moderated panel of young advocates from Greater New Haven who want to share their challenges and ideas for how the community can better support young people. Click here to register for the Zoom webinar (you must register for the Zoom webinar in addition to the 5-Day email Challenge).
We invite you to register and join us for this fall's Equity Challenge: What Young People Are Up Against, November 3-7!
About the Equity Challenge
The Equity Challenge is a personal and collective commitment to spend just 10–15 minutes a day for 5 days engaging with curated resources that deepen our understanding of equity — and how bias, privilege, oppression, and trauma show up in our everyday lives.
Each Challenge centers on a different issue, exploring the history, systems, and real lived experiences that shape inequities in our communities. Participants receive a daily email that includes a brief topic overview and a variety of ways to learn: articles to read, videos to watch, podcasts to listen to, and real-world actions to consider. You choose how you want to engage.
By growing our awareness of how equity — or the lack of it — impacts people across our community, we can take meaningful steps towards advocating for change. Whether you're just starting out or continuing a lifelong learning journey, the Equity Challenge is for everyone.
