Join United Way’s esteemed group of philanthropic leaders dedicated to tackling our community’s most pressing challenges.
When we come together with bold goals and coordinated action, we can drive positive change for all.
Founded in 1998, the United Way Tocqueville Society is a national, philanthropic society honoring individuals who annually give $10,000 or more to United Way. The Society is named after the 19th century French political thinker and historian Alexis de Tocqueville who recognized the importance of voluntary action on behalf of the common good.
Members of the society are dedicated to developing a stronger sense of community and connection by growing awareness of issues and solutions affecting the well-being of children and families in our community.
Our local Tocqueville Society members automatically join United Way Worldwide’s Tocqueville United, which is composed of over 25,000 philanthropic leaders throughout the United States.
