Building Blocks for Financial Wellness
United Way is working to help ALICE households in every community get on a path toward financial security. For many, that pathway begins with setting solid financial goals.
Do you have financial goals that you are determined to achieve this year?
Tax Assistance
Millions of Americans are eligible for free tax preparation but pay high fees for this service, ultimately reducing the amount of the tax credits and refunds they receive.
At United Way, we provide free tax preparation to increase the amount of the tax credits and refunds our neighbors receive. This is one way we are working to help every person in every community get on a path toward financial security.
Job & Career Training
With the rapidly changing global economy, evolving technology, increased training criteria, and challenging life situations, many adults need more education and training to succeed in the job market.
United Way is working to help every person in our community get on a path toward financial security. That starts with access to education and training opportunities to prepare people for good-paying jobs with the potential to grow into long-term, sustainable careers.
Coordinated Access Network
Greater New Haven Coordinated Access Network
United Way of Greater New Haven leads the Greater New Haven Coordinated Access Network (CAN). The Coordinated Access Network makes the process easier for individuals and families to access housing assistance across our region.
We can rapidly end each person’s homelessness by connecting them with appropriate housing as quickly as possible. With the right resources in place, we can change homelessness as we know it across our communities.
