Too many of our neighbors don’t know where their next meal is coming from, and many more are unable to access healthy, nutritious food due to affordability or accessibility.
At United Way of Greater New Haven, we envision a community in which no person ever has to choose between putting food on the table and paying bills, and no child ever goes to bed hungry. We are committed to tackling the root causes of food insecurity while increasing access to nutritious food.
Our Efforts Include:
- Coordinated Food Access Network
- School Break Groceries
- Hamden Food Collaborative
- Mobile Food Pantries
- Advocacy for no-cost school meals, funding for summer meals
