Tell us a little about how you Live United by giving, advocating and volunteering in the community.

Maria joined United Way in September of 2010 after spending 17 years working in the non-profit sector for leading international relief and development organizations Global Impact and Save the Children. Most recently, she held the title Director of Partnership Development at Global Impact and was responsible for creating strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and raising funds through employee engagement programs.

United Way has always been a part of Maria's philanthropic involvement serving as a Board Member, Marketing Co-Chair and Chair of the Nurturing Children and Families Investment Committee over the last twelve years with United Way of Milford.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Human Relations along with minors in Psychology, Sociology and Race and Ethnic Relations. She resides in Milford with her family and participates in a variety of volunteer activities in her community.
