Annual leadership Reception

It certainly was an honor to receive The Alexis de Toqueville Society Herbert H. Pearce award last Thursday evening.  I was also pleased that my co recipient was Charlie Andriole, whose leadership was outstanding as fundraising chair for the new Shoreline YMCA.

In saying a few words from the podium, both Charlie and I expressed thanks to the previous generation for "showing us the way" to be a good communal citizen: In Charlie's case it was his Mother Pat, and in mine, my Father and Uncle played very important roles.
