Volunteer Tutors Needed in Boost! School
Help students experience the joy and power of reading by becoming a volunteer tutor for the 2011-2012 school year at Augusta Lewis Troup School with New Haven Reads. Volunteer tutors are needed on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 3:00-4:45 pm to work with 1st and 2nd graders at Augusta Lewis Troup School located at 259 Edgewood Avenue, New Haven. Troup School is one of five Boost! schools that aims to increase access to quality wraparound services by giving students the supports, health and social services they need for success in school.
Volunteers Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years old,
- Able to commit to a minimum of 1.75 hours per week
- Pass a background check
- Experience with youth and/or tutoring is preferred but NOT required
