United Way of Greater New Haven (UWGNH) is looking to hire four AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers starting in July 2011 to work with us on our Boost! wraparound services partnership with the New Haven Public Schools and the City of New Haven. VISTA members assigned to UWGNH will complement ongoing Boost! activities by helping coordinate wraparound services at the school level, conducting research, developing resources, and assisting with communications and training.
Individuals serving as VISTA volunteers receive a modest living allowance (approximately $12,000/year), health care and child care benefits (if applicable), as well as an Education Award or post-service stipend (approximately $5,000).
