United Way of Greater New Haven is collaborating with the Harwood Institute to accelerate our efforts to create results in education. Harwood is United Way’ World Wide's signature partner for both their education mobilization groups and The Campaign for the Common Good.

There are some tremendous examples of what The Harwood Institute has done for other large national organizations like the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. If we can replicate what they have done for them at some level then we will be in really good shape.

This collaboration will embed United Ways across the country to help them align more effectively and produce lasting results in their communities. United Way of Greater New Haven is excited to be working with the Harwood Institute as one of the 10 pilot communities because of their expertise in helping other public organizations.

Last week several of the United Way of Greater New Haven staff and two board members attended the Lab with other United Ways from across the country. Lessons learned in this lab will help to bolster our work with the Boost! initiative.
