Strive's 105th Graduating Class of 2010

Today marks as a special day for fifteen individuals who graduated from the 105th class of STRIVE-New Haven, Inc.   These individuals walked proudly to the front of the room at the United Church on the Green to receive their diplomas.  They told their personal stories of how difficult of a commitment it was, but how they were pleased with the results.   This was a chance at making a difference not only for themselves, but for their families too.  STRIVE-New Haven Inc. is an agency that prepares, trains, places, and supports Greater New Haven residents in securing employment.  The organization demonstrates the impact that additional training and post-placement support can have on successful long-term employment.   The staff at STRIVE where very honored to have partaken in a ceremony that prepared and equipped their students' with the proper skills and training tools to become financially stable in our community.  Preceding the ceremony was a celebration for families and friends to join in on congratulating the graduates with food and refreshments.  Employees at STRIVE-New Haven and the graduates were very appreciative for the amount of support they received from the friends and family who attended the event.
