Higher Heights Mentors Young Men at Metropolitan Business Academy

Higher Heights, a youth development program that provides college planning services to students and their families, recently developed a mentoring program for young men in the community called “HIGHER MEN”.  Through a Boost! partnership, “Higher Men” was launched at Metropolitan Business Academy this winter when four volunteers from Higher Heights served as mentors to 12 male students, providing the young men with positive community role models.  The six week program taught life skills helping the young men build character and leadership abilities by focusing on building relationships, etiquette, dressing for success, and career awareness.  Mentors, administrators, students and families gathered for a short closing ceremony on Wednesday, March 30th to celebrate the conclusion of the mentoring program.
