Covidien Employees Support Healthy Communities

Covidien Surgical Devices employees added a healthy component to their United Way campaign.  Employees were encouraged to contribute towards creating "Get Fit Kits" to benefit 2,500 New Haven Public School students to align and support the physical health component of Boost!.  Boost! is a partnership between United Way of Greater New Haven, New Haven Public Schools and The City of New Haven , to ensure that every young person has the support and services he or she needs to succeed.  Covidien employees assembled the kits according to Six Sigma lean manufacturing principles at their North Haven facilities.
