The Beach Isn't Just for Summertime : MBA Students Living United

What is better than a sunny day at the beach? A sun-drenched morning at the beach for community service is better, of course! Students at Metropolitan Business Academy took time out of their weekend to volunteer with the Interact club and to take in some of the last warm moments of the year.

Interact club is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Service activities include cleaning up the Sound, volunteering at the New Haven Home Recovery, participating in holiday activities with the elderly, and reading and playing games with children in shelters.

Since MBA requires its students to complete 100 hours of service prior to graduation, this club is a perfect way to get some hours in while helping the community and having fun!
