How Do I Pledge Online?

Pledging online through United eWay is a safe and convenient way to make a donation. It only takes a few minutes, and you can do it from any computer that is connected to the internet.

Donor Site & Logging In

The first thing that you will see on the Donor Site is a welcome message in the center of the page. This message will give you information about the United Way of Greater New Haven campaign at your office and why your participation is so important. The navigation bar on the left side of the Donor Site is where you can learn more about the campaign and make donations. Click on any of the tabs along this navigation bar to see the contents.

Making a Pledge

When you are ready to make a pledge, simply click on the “Pledge Now” tab. You will be asked to select the payment type (payroll deduction, credit card, cash, etc.), to enter information about the donation and yourself, to review the information, and to submit the donation. You will be asked how to invest your gift-you can allocate your contribution by percentage or dollar amount. If you do not choose a designation, your gift will go toward the United Way Community Fund, which is the most powerful way to invest in the community. You may also choose to direct your contribution to initiatives or agencies around Education, Health or Income.

After you complete each page, you will need to click on “Continue.” If you are making a donation that cannot be processed online (like check or cash), you will see instructions for what to do with your donation during the process and after you complete your pledge. If you have missed a question that you must fill out, when you click on “Continue,” a message will appear at the top of the page telling you what must be completed. After you complete the process, you will see a confirmation sheet that you can print out for your records. If you do not want to make a pledge this year, after you click on the “Pledge Now” tab, you can select “No Donation.”

Logging Out

Once you are done looking at the information on the site or done with your pledge, you will need to log out. To log out, simply click on “LOGOUT” next to your name at the top right corner of the page. You can log in and log out at any time during the campaign.
