Congratulations! Your organization is one of a small group of community-based nonprofits invited to participate in a limited grant opportunity to select arts-focused partners for some of the Boost! schools for the 2011-12 school year.
Through a generous anonymous matching gift donation from Nationwide Insurance, United Way has secured funds to seed the Boost! Innovation Fund, specifically to support innovative arts-focused partnerships between Boost! schools and community-based organizations. These partnerships should enrich the curriculum and/or help meet the wraparound needs of students in one or more of the four Boost domains:
- extended learning
- behavioral health
- physical health
- family support and engagement
Through this fund, each of the Boost! schools will be eligible for up to $30,000 to partner with one or more organizations. Grants will range from $2,500-30,000 and the majority of the funds must be spent on paying artistic staff to work directly with students, staff or parents. Three of the Boost! schools – Barnard, Clinton Avenue and Metropolitan -- have already identified the organizations they would like to partner with through the Boost! process to date.
Two of the schools – Troup and Wexler-Grant – are interested in learning more about potential arts-focused partnership opportunities, so we are launching another mini-RFI process to help connect them to potential partners. Because we are anxious to put these partnerships into place for the 2011-12 school year, we have a very tight timeline and hope that you will be able to respond to this opportunity quickly.
Please complete the form below and click submit. We thank you for your participation in this Boost! RFI.
