United Way invests in the community to promote civic engagement and improve lives. This includes financial resources that we invest in services and initiatives and the volunteer and leadership resources that we leverage or contribute to community efforts. Examples include:

• Funding programs and initiatives that improve lives and change conditions for everyone in our region,

• Days of Caring, a week-long event where volunteers work in their communities,

• Volunteer Link, our online volunteer recruitment and referral service,

• Infoline 211, a statewide information and referral service for people who need or work with social service programs,

• Community Compass, which brings together a broad range of partners to collect information about community assets and needs and to identify opportunities for action.

• Success By Six, which brings the region together to identify the greatest opportunity to create change on important issues like early childhood education.
