The 90%

Last Wednesday marked the City’s deadline for Occupy New Haven to take down their camp. The last one standing of its kind in New England, occupiers fought back and were eventually granted an extension by the District Court, leaving many local citizens unsettled. Much of the criticism around this national movement has centered on the lack of a clear, unified agenda or action plan. With claims to be fighting for the interests of the majority, or the 99%, some now see self-interest trumping the Occupy cause.
