The 90%

Last Wednesday marked the City’s deadline for Occupy New Haven to take down their camp. The last one standing of its kind in New England, occupiers fought back and were eventually granted an extension by the District Court, leaving many local citizens unsettled. Much of the criticism around this national movement has centered on the lack of a clear, unified agenda or action plan. With claims to be fighting for the interests of the majority, or the 99%, some now see self-interest trumping the Occupy cause.

New Haven’s Newest Resident

Hello New Haven!! As way of introduction, my name is Jenna Cluver, new Leadership Giving Manager for United Way of Greater New Haven. I am thrilled to be a part of this United Way team and the New Haven community! I join UWGNH having recently completed my Masters of Public Affairs in nonprofit management and policy analysis at Indiana University. During graduate school, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to intern at United Way of Monroe County and to receive a certificate in Fundraising Management from The Center on Philanthropy.
