Boost! shares the overall goals of the New Haven School Change Initiative:

• Close the gap between the performance of New Haven students and the rest of the State in 5 years

• Cut the drop-out rate in half

• Make sure that every graduating student has the academic ability and the financial resources to attend and succeed in college

In addition to the School Change goals, Boost! seeks other student, family and system outcomes:

Student and Family Outcomes

• Students are healthy – physically, socially, emotionally

• Students are prepared for school entry

• Students attend school consistently

• Families welcomed in schools and engaged in their children's education

System Outcomes

• Safe, healthy and positive school environments

• Improved access to high quality support services for youth and families

• Efficient use of existing and new resources in schools and in the community
