• Take I-91 South to Trumbull Street Exit 3.
• At light at bottom of ramp take a left onto Orange Street.
• Continue through 3 traffic lights, at third light cross Chapel Street.
• UW is on the next block of Orange Street after you cross Chapel Street.

• Take Exit 47 (Downtown New Haven) - Route 34.
• Take first exit on Rte. 34 (to Coliseum).
• At end of exit ramp, bear right continuing through blinking yellow light at closely spaced streets.
• Go under the Coliseum to traffic light at George Street.
• Go right onto George Street, travel two blocks to the second traffic light at State Street northbound.
• Go left onto State Street to first traffic light at Chapel Street and get into the extreme left turning lane.
• Make a U-turn (left) onto State Street southbound and travel approximately 500' to the parking garage (Ninth Square Parking) on right.
• After parking, exit at the rear of the parking garage, walk straight ahead to Orange Street.
• At street, turn left on sidewalk; UW is the first building on the left.

• 95 North to New Haven, take Exit 47 (Downtown New Haven) - Route 34 and cross over to far right lane.
• Take first exit on Rte. 34 (Coliseum).
• At end of exit ramp, bear right continuing through blinking yellow light at closely spaced streets, go under the Coliseum to traffic light at George Street.
• Go right onto George Street, travel two blocks to the second traffic light at State Street north-bound.
• Go left onto State Street to first traffic light at Chapel Street and get into the extreme left turning lane.

There is limited, metered, on-street parking available.

To park in 9th Square Garage:

• At light at bottom of ramp take a left onto Orange Street.
• At second traffic light take a left onto Elm Street and a right at next light onto State Street.
• Continue on State Street beyond Chapel Street for about 500' to parking garage (Ninth Square Parking) on right.
• After parking, exit at the rear of the parking garage, walk straight ahead to Orange Street.
• At street, turn left on sidewalk; UW is the first building on the left.
  

If there is no parking available in the Ninth Square Garage, there is street parking and other lots available; one lot across the street from the 9th Square Garage and another on the corner of Chapel and State Street.

The Carriage House is in a courtyard in the center of a group of buildings, and is not visible from the street.

If you parked in the 9th Square Garage, exit through rear door of garage and take a left out door. You will see a small brick building with a blue and maroon striped awning to your right; that is the Carriage House.

If you parked on Orange Street, walk down the driveway to the left of the United Way building, directly across from Center Street (vehicles may not park in this driveway.) Take a right around the rear of the building. You will see a small brick building with a blue and maroon striped awning to your right; that is the Carriage House.

The UW Board Room is located almost straight behind the Carriage House (there is a UW sign on the door).

United Way offices are located on Orange Street directly across from Bentara Restaurant.
Exit ninth square garage and follow the walk to Orange Street. Turn left for the main entrance to United Way office.
