United Way Days of Caring: Continuing to Advance the Common Good

United Way works to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life – a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.

Through Days of Caring and numerous other year-round community service initiatives, United Way is at work connecting the power of volunteers to where our community benefits the most.

Days of Caring is an annual, week-long series of events where thousands of volunteers join hands and lend their muscle to improve local nonprofits, schools, towns and parks. Days of Caring projects range from reading to children to beautifying a play yard.  Volunteer groups from workplaces, families, schools, and community and faith groups make it happen.
