Statewide, between 7/1/2007 and 6/30/2008, 2-1-1 handled more than 443,000 calls and saw more than 798,000 searches in our online databases.

From UWGNH towns, our general health and human services center handled 53,931 calls that produced 75,722 requests for services.* Thetables to the right show the top 10 requests for services and the number of calls received from each town covered by UWGNH.

* Number of requests for services is more than the number of calls as one call may generate multiple requests.

 

Case Examples

A 74-year-old man called looking for opportunities to move into subsidized elderly housing and wanted to find out information about energy assistance so he could apply next year.

A woman called concerned for her 44-year-old mother who works full-time but cannot afford health insurance and needs a mammogram to rule out cancer.

A 27-year-old woman disclosed that she has problems with anger management and wanted to find a local support group.
