Extraordinary success during the United Way campaign depends on extraordinary volunteers.

Campaign coordinators are volunteers from businesses within the community who represent a broad range of businesses and who generously volunteer their time to coordinate the annual fundraising efforts of United Way. Campaign coordinators are essential to all phases of the campaign because they provide credibility, advocacy, relationship-building, and outside energy that United Way staff cannot generate alone.
Becoming a campaign coordinator is a great experience that is a fun and effective way to support your community. Coordinators also directly benefit by establishing a leadership role within their company that has high visibility for multiple levels of management. Coordinators become more connected to people throughout their office, providing a chance to strengthen relationships and demonstrate a variety of their own managerial skills.
In addition to developing relationships within their own organization, campaign coordinators will get the opportunity to network with other people and organizations in their community through United Way professional development and community events.
The most important benefit of volunteering to become a campaign coordinator is the opportunity to get a closer look at the needs within the community and gain perspective of what resources are available to create positive change for the common good.

“Live United makes clear that all of us have a stake in each other’s success and that all people, no matter their position or means, have a role to play in advancing the common good.”
