Neighbor-to-Neighbor LifeLine

Winter has a fierce grip on us (especially our most vulnerable citizens). Everybody knows someone that is forced to live paycheck to paycheck. Increasingly families are forced to choose between heating their homes and buying food. The dramatic increase in demand for food, shelter and warmth during these winter months is a struggle for one third of our residents in our community. Your donation, large or small, will be invested to meet emergency needs and help people avert or pull-out of crisis. Help a neighbor survive this challenging winter through a donation to the general N2N fund or directly to one of these urgent community needs.

As a result of the 2010 N2N effort, 342 households received emergency assistance to help prevent or pull them out of homelessness, over 75,000 additional meals were served to children and adults and 317 individuals received one-time emergency support to help them avert or pull out of crisis. With the high cost of living, social service providers are being overwhelmed by increased needs for food, shelter and many other critical services. N2N LifeLine raises funds to help organizations serve more people in crisis and provide additional services to people already being served. Community volunteers, with expertise about the needs in our region, review grant applications and make decisions about how to immediately distribute every dollar that is donated.

Help your neighbors get through these tough economic times. You’ll be glad you did!
